Japan.

we all know that japan is the best place to get a psp from but what is the cheapest and most reliable website to get a psp from?

Argos currently have it in stock for home delivery (ignore what it says on the page and actually go through the checkout process and it'll show as in stock):

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5676587.htm

Not the cheapest price, but you can order a game half price with it which makes it a pretty good deal.
#4
Yeah but how did you find out that you get a game for half price with the PSP?
#5
The special offers at the bottom of that page :-)

It's not any game, only F1 / Ridge Racer / Fired up or a pack with Snooker and Lumines. (and not all of those are in stock.)

Those offers ends in 5 days time.

Damn they were'nt the games I was looking forward to see.

Vikash,

Unless you have pre-ordered one somewhere, you'd be lucky to get it anyway. I went round London last weekend (Harrods, Game stores, HMVs, Dixons, Tottenham Court Road, etc) and everywhere was sold out. As shipments come in, they only go towards filling a pre-order. You'll be lucky to get one before xmas.

Thats for PSP's that are pre-ordered from shops but not for ones that are pre-ordered over the internet. But still you can get PSP's from amazon.co.uk. The offers for PSP's from John Lewis are quite good when you apply the £10 voucher from HUKD for it but guess what there out of stock. The only place that I think is worthwhile of looking at if you want one now is amazon.co.uk or yesasia.com (global).

You *really* don't have to be lucky. Argos have them in stock. If you order now, you can have it delivered on Tuesday! I ordered one from amazon and cancelled the order after two weeks - it's worth the extra fiver to actually get it, and with the game special offer tied in it's a bargain for something in short supply! Sell the game on ebay if you don't want it, you'll make at least a tenner :)

People are going to start thinking I work for argos at this rate :)

The only reason Argos show on their website that it is out of stock is so that they don't sell out the stock really quickly like other sellers. So jogu you bought your PSP from Argos' website.
#11
I did last week.

I just tried to order another one, and it still shows as instock on the website but then goes wrong afterwards. Argos don't actually have stock just at the moment :-(
#12
So at first you tried to buy one from Amazon but then you saw the Argos deal.
#13
Yeah - ordered one from amazon, waited two weeks, no sign of it delivering and then spotted argos and ordered there - arrived 2 days later.

That one was for a competition at my company... now trying to get another for myself and failing :( amazon say over 2 weeks, and I don't believe even that ;)

So has anyone ordered one from Japan on like yesasia.com ? They seem cheap as do all the non-UK sites but they don't do extended warranty so I find it a bit risky in buying.
#15
Remember when buying from abroad that you may (should) be charged excise duty and maybe VAT - also, the courier company will add a huge admin fee as well.

The 3 decent import sites are:

www.yesasia.com
www.play-asia.com
www.lik-sang.com

They are all legit, so don't worry about the risk. But do worry about warranty - international warrantying is sketchy at best - and import tax/duty.

Thanks but still not sure where to buy it from.
