think you're asking too much for all of that for <150. Lots of good kit around for 150 that doesn't have an optical in but as soon as you ask for that it pushes the price nearer to 250.

If you can push it to 180 then you could go for http://www.richersounds.co.uk/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=YAMA-NSP110

with

http://www.richersounds.co.uk/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=SONY-STRDE400

for a decent package

I have a Panny Surround systen - the SCHT855. I got it from Empire Direct last year for about £180 but it's not on there yet!

It out performs a Technics system that I used to have, and gives great audio! I originally just had my Sky+ connected via optical, but now using a splitter, have the PS3 also connected.

Might also be worth asking what TV you have as sometimes worth matching up to get the best out of both!

Bought it a while ago from superfi.co.uk which has optical in AND coaxial in.

SONY HTSL60 HOME CINEMA SYSTEM (AV RECEIVER + 5.1 SPEAKER PACKAGE): £149.95

I doubt its around nowadays :( but I would have though something similar would be?

Brief search has come up with the Sony HTDDW790 via Amazon for slightly above you budget at £163. This has Optical, Coax and HDMI passthough (i.e. doesn't do anything or interpret the HDMI input).

hth.

£20 over your budget and doesn't technically have optical in but reviewers have found ways around it:

The Sony-DAV-DZ230 on Play - £169.99

Edit: Just found it on Dixons for £124.99

In which case amazon have the Z230 and Z231 for £130 ish.

OP, this isn't you by any chance? A few alternatives there for you if it's not.
