Hi all,

I'm wanting to travel from either Manchester or East Mids to either Toulouse or Bergerac in June. I'm wanting to go around the 11th and come back on the 19th. I cannot travel on Sundays as public transport from where I live to airports is too unreliable.

One other problem - the flights cannot be before 12pm as it takes me about three hours to get to any of the airports. Hoping for the flights to be around or under £100 return. I've searched Skyscanner and not finding much in the way of flights later than 7 or 7.20am.

Any help appreciated!

To discount the whole of the morning because you would have to get up early is ridiculous. Go to the airport the night before or something.

I came here for advice, not patronising assumptions. If it takes three hours to travel and two hours to arrive before boarding, that's five hours. I could travel the day before, but how do you know I'm not a single disabled female travelling alone? You do not. Where and when do I sleep, and what exactly did you mean by "or something"?

Could you use national Express to get you to the airport? you could sleep on the coach. The 12th, Manchester, Flybe seems best option, Ryan Air does a later flight 12.45pm to Carcassonne which looks to be about an hour away from Toulouse airport.

Where are you travelling from. It may be there are other airports.

If you want help it may be better to give all the info rather than give grief to the only person who has replied.

I'll be travelling from close to Stoke on Trent. Cannot fly to Carcasonne - Bergerac or Toulouse only.

If you can travel on a Friday to Manchester jet2 fly in the afternoon and flights are from £26

I think that the only way likely from your search for flights may well be that you have to consider staying in a B & B near the airport travelling the day before. A lot of these offer a free shuttle to the airport, if you cant find a suitable flight now I think it will get even more unlikely the closer you get to your departure date as seats on planes in June ( the high season ) are few and far between, you may be lucky and find what you are looking for but it will probably be more luck than judgement as the saying goes. Good luck with your search, oh and if you are a single disabled female may I suggest you use " Special Assistance " from check in , it gets you through security and to the plane without hassle. My wife and I are both disabled and without it we probably wouldn't fly. You get it at your destination airport too. Order it when you book the flights.

Thank you. I'll have a look at that! :)

Not sure what difference it would make if you were a single disabled female travelling alone. There are lots of hotels in the vicinity of airports that you could sleep in the night before the flight.
The "or something" was just to allow you the opportunity consider travelling part of the way the day before or staying with a friend or maybe looking at Eurostar instead.
You're aggressive, aren't you.

Could you fly from Birmingham, 12.55 Flybe on the 12th, National Express coach at 08.30 - 11.25. or 05.35 - 07.40 bit of a long wait I know.

What are you worried about? I found flights that matched all the criteria at a fraction of the budget and I'm on minus two !

Thanks very much for your reply and ideas. I've already looked into staying in a B&B but there isn't really much point as I'd have to leave the hotel about 3am. It's a good idea though and I appreciate your comments about Special Assistance. I do have a lot of medical problems but don't think I require assistance at this stage. It's great information to have, though!

I can't stay from the 9th to the 19th unfortunately - it's a bit long. Equally annoying is I have to be back by the 22nd as my friend who will be looking after my dog is going away on the 23rd!

Even if you leave a B&B at 3am, you will have been able to get proper rest and then catch an early flight. To say "there isn't really much point" doesn't make any sense at all.

It might be, actually! I don't actually live in Stoke itself but I'll definitely get some prices. Many thanks.
