Struggling with a maths problem!!!

Not so much a problem for most I guess but my brain isn't working too well today! Basically, just been out for a walk to help with the fitness, and I know that I have walked 6.28 miles, and I know that my average mile pace for the entire duration was 15 minutes 40 seconds per mile.

but how from that, do I work out what the total time was?

time per mile times miles covered
#2
just multiply them
about 98 minutes total

Around 2 hours.

1 Hour, 38 minutes and 22.8 seconds

If you multiply 15.40 and 6.28 though then surely thats assuming that the time is a decimal is it not?

How did you get to that? :)

15 x 60 = 900 secs + 40 = 940 secs per mile
940 x 6,28 = 5903.2 secs
5903.2 / 60 = 98.38666666666667 mins to walk 6,28

Or you could have looked at a clock when you started and a clock when you finished and seen the time difference.

It's not 15.4 minutes, 40 seconds is 40/60 minutes, or 2/3, so it's 15.666 x 6.28. That's 98.38 minutes which, as previously posted, is 98 minutes and 22.8 seconds.

why do you need maths, have you really no idea how long you were out for? did you cross dimensions or something?

I had the runkeeper app on my phone, and when it finished for some reason it told me how far id gone, and told me my average speed per mile, but the clock was at 0.00.00

You know how it is. You go for a walk, you know the exact distance you covered and the exact speed you were traveling at, but have no means of measuring the passage of time.
We've all been there.

Happens to me all the time when I walk the dog, we have a time portal in our local park and sometimes I come home next week

Seems genuine.
