Been looking through various forums for a cheap, decent laptop for my daughter for university. I've looked at other threads but couldnt find anything relevant that was up to date. It'll be used primarily for coursework, email and internet and I know she wants Wifi if possible. There seem to be quite a few laptops around the £400 price including some Acers, Lenovo and Toshiba models but I found this NEC notebook
for £349. Aside from the price it appeals to me because of the 3 year anti theft warranty. That could prove useful in a university environment.
I'm not sure whether to go for this one or wait for a Vista model to come down in price to a similar level. £400 is my maxium. Any advice would be much appreciated.
