OK so I had a PS3. When I upgraded to next gen I went XBox One. Stayed that way for a couple of years. Halo, Forza & Gears oh my! This weekend I switched back again. Turned away from the Xbone and got a PS4 (all the HUKD deals on here I lucked out totally on Amazon Warehouse. Brand new small PS4 500GB with GTA V for £140). Traded in my Xbone and games at CEX and got an extra controller and a few games : Uncharted 1-3, The Order, Worms WMD, Fifa 14. Would have got TLOU but not in stock.

So I am a gamer but not so hardcore that I can justify owning two consoles and I resolutely refuse to pay lots of money for my games. So not necessarily interested on new releases but does anyone have any suggestions for older games I should definitely have on the PS4 that I may have missed out on by only getting one now? Driveclub? Bloodbourne?

Uncharted 4, can be sourced for under £20 and is the best of all 4 in the series imho, sub 20 you can't go wrong

Just keep looking for TLoU.

Other than that I personally like Ratchet & Clank and Until Dawn - both good exclusives that can be found quite cheap now.

I'd avoid driveclub, unlike motorstorm the game is just not...fun.

it also depends what type of games you like too. Rocket League is ridiculously addictive and Dead Nation and Alienation are both fun co-op top down shooters (the latter free on ps plus currently).

Until Dawn is good up to a point, just saying.

Journey is an indie game unlike no other, I don't really want to give anything away so all I'll say is... it's not about the destination.

I'd ignore what this person has said about Driveclub as it's an excellent game. It's regularly goes into sales on PSN which includes the season pass for around £10 which is an absolute bargain considering the sheer amount of content you get.

I'd ignore what "this person" says, it is not an excellent game, content is no good if the game is sub par :)

Are you trying to tell me everyone has different opinions and tastes? I refuse to believe it!

Obviously only 'my own' opinion but Project Cars is twice the game Driveclub is for the PS4.
#12
Driveclub
Ratchet and clank
Uncharted 4
Bloodbourne
Killzone
#13
The last of us!

I have borrowed Uncharted 4 but want to play through the first 3 again before I tackle it. CEX had driveclub for £8? is that worthy? Played Rocket League on the Xbone but that is still £15 on the PS4. A tenner is my tipping point on that I guess.

I also have bought No Man Sky as that was only £7 on Amazon....

Uncharted collection followed by Uncharted 4, sheer class, I've been on Drake's Fortune all weekend and it gets better the more I progress. Highly recommended.

3 exclusive games I haven't played yet but are on my list to purchase (and haven't been listed above);

Yakuza 0
Persona 5
Horizon zero dawn

Project Cars is a totally different style of racer. You can't really compare them so to say one is better than the other is a bit daft, haha :D

Download the digital version of The Last of Us - I'm sure it's going cheap on the PS Store at the minute (or at least was very recently). Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is an easy to play, easy to platinum, cheap game. Then there's the obvious Battlefields / Tom Clancys etc. Horizon Zero Dawn is meant to be excellent but I've not played it yet

Firewatch

Driveclub is good, excellent considering todays price and lack of competition on ps4 for racers. However overall it isnt that fun as mentioned. Worth it for £8. Get yourself some psn credit and smash sales when they come out.

Uncharted collection + 4
the last of us
Until Dawn
Watch Dogs 2
Gta v
Crash Collection.

GTA V - they are constantly adding new content online - so always evolving!
