just got my new tag heur formula 1 delivered..

it cost £1550

i love the watch and the strap but the clasp feels cheap like tin and its so thin it kind of brings the overall feel down .it is all stainless steel and has a double secuirty fastening so you dont lose it ....

its making me think twice about keeping it!

is there a reason uts so thin in the fastening and feels a bit cheap .

purchased from beaverbrook

My dad used to be into watches.

The clasp is always thinner because it needs to flex.

Not really true. Higher end watches will have a much better clasp.

Although expensive in its own right. It is at the lower end of the luxury watch spectrum.

Saying that Rolex clasps were pretty flimsy until about 2010.

Take it back and shop around for an Omega Seamaster 2nd hand at not much more money for a lot more watch.

You wouldn't be a million miles off a PO or Speedmaster Pro.

Gives you an idea of omega clasp. altnernatively if you want to stick with a heuer. Go down the carrera range. You will pick up a second hand CV2010 for under £1500 which will feel much better quality.
