Tassimo Coffee maker

Hi everyone

I'm after a coffee maker, so any advice. i Looked at the Nescafe Gusto and the Tassimo and the Senseo.

Although the Nesafe Gusto is a very popular option the pods that you get with it are high in sugar and fat compared with others (in my opinion), I compared the two side by side and couldnt believe that the Nescafe had 47g sugar and over 10g of fat (accoding to the the info on the Tesco website)

The pods from Tassimo do not seem to have high sugar levels

Any comments and any ideas on a good price?

Good evening,I had the tassimo for over a year which was very nice then there was a tasting session at lakeside(essex) with the Gusto and am afraid it was 100 times better needless to say I gave Tassimo to nephew and bought the Gusto.Trust me the coffee and especially the chocolate is lovely.

It seems to be the view of many people that the Coffee of the gusto is much nicer, my only concern is the high fat and sugar content, I used to like the packet coffees as well until I looked at the contents

taste versus fat/sugar ummmmmmmmm

If you want really good coffee and must have capsules, go for Nespresso.

I have a tassimo, all of the drinks taste great but it does start to work out expensive it you use it all the time. You only get 8 cappucinos for £3 ish, because there are 16 pods in a pack but 8 milk and 8 coffee. All of the other packs you get about 16 drinks for £3 although some supermarkets have offers of 4 packs for £10 occassionally. Hope this helps

Thanks I have checked out some of the other threads. Seems at the moment the new version is about the same price everywhere, perhaps should have looked a month earlier for the braun deals!!

I know Tesco frequently have deals on the tassimo stuff. So I think it will be a case of stock up while the offers are on or check out supermarkets for offers at all times.

Are they easy to use?

I dont often drink coffee/tea but I have been fairly hooked (and yes I'm sure that is the right word) on ribena, so I am trying to subsitute ribena with something else that I can have hot with less fat and less sugar
