Well....

just ordered a Zgemma h2s and therefore registered on techkings. I put in a request for a N line.... brilliant- no problem!!

commence the onslaught of private messages to assist me. Are they all much the same?? I have asked for test lines etc, but wondered if there was a way of narrowing the choice down. I am after quality over the price which isn't always that obvious.

any ideas

Someone that's been a member and doing it a fair bit of time, think they get called VIP members or something.

I got mine off there for a 2 box sub, paid 25 quid, no dramas yet. The zgemma with the wooshman build is a world apart from my openbox like.

Thanks for that... that was the route I was looking at. Wooshman appears to have OTA updates which will save a few earbashings from the wife!!

Can I ask did you buy a plug and play box where you just add the line or did you do the setup yourself. Am looking at getting one of these to replace my current sky sub which is up very shortly, and would like something that is similar to use(sky layout) but not difficult to setup.

A bit of both. for FTA channels just connect up and go!!! For different skins there are builds available to help.... wooshbuild, sucmnsee etc. There are loads of tutorials for setting up hard drive recording, creating swap files, EPG settings, mount my LAN drive. I have been done mine over the course of a couple of weeks, with literally 10 mins here and there. I reckon I could now fully set one up from scratch in about an hour, maybe 2 if the kids are annoying me!!!!!

Ok cheers #confused haha, just looking on fleabay £80ish seems to get one of the h2.s set up with the sky skin etc and think I would just need a gift and USB stick to unlock the extras and enable the recording. But for the same price it seems you can get the same box to setup yourself,
I know I should prob do the setup myself so learn how to resolve issues should they arise but the other option is easiest and thought if I had to do a reset I could prob start from scratch at a later date.

bear in mind they are that price directly from the Zgemma website. I wouldn't be so sure I was getting what I paid for!!

£18 wow I feel robbed, I paid £55 for mine from someone on Facebook. To be honest I haven't had any problems with it since purchase and all in HD, but at that price seems like a good choice for a 2nd line and when my current one expires.

If it's all in hd im guessing it's a virgin line not a sky one?? Those ones are more expensive....
