The Best Credit Card

Hi all

What is the best card out there at the moment? I had one a few years ago and only used it for one holiday, then got rid of it, as I have never really believed in them. Since then I have been done up like a kipper with 247electrical (that have now gone in administration), and as I paid with my debit card, I will probably never see that money again. I want one for online purchases, and any holidays I may go on. I will pay it off in full every month, and I have no balance transfers (as I don't have a cc at present!) Cashback would be good.

Hope someone out there can help

Thanks

If you need fuel, the asda credit card gives 2p per litre off at their fuel stations.
Also gives you vouchers as a "cashback" for all purchases (just had mine for this year, they are to spend in asda).

Nationwide, you can set up a variable direct debit to pay off balance every month, and I believe they are the only company not to charge you extra fees for using it outside of the UK

Liverpool Victoria and a couple of others do commission free foreign use but, overall, I'd agree that Nationwide are best.

I was wondering about this recently too, I could really use a Mastercard so that I can buy stuff from PSN Japan and USA.

Mbna cards are good like the virgin card which someone mentioned above is issued by mbna 15 months interest free balance transfer and 10% off virgin products and 10% off zavvi. Another card you might consider is shell mastercard issued by citi which gives you 3% off shell fuel and 1% off any other place you use it.
