lastminute.com? could be a good place to start?

http://www.holidayextras.co.uk/theatre-breaks/theatre-breaks.html is worth a look as well. They have some pretty good prices. Are you looking to see any show in particular?

GF wants to see dirty dancing, not sure myself! Something modern I suppose

Saturday night tickets for Dirty Dancing can be difficult to get a hold of unless you are booking months in advance, really popular show at the moment! Midweek is a lot easier to get tickets for

dont bother with it, went to see it in november, reminded me of a transvestite caberat show...full of drunk middle aged women on hen parties, 50th birthday trips, all whooping and shouting "nobody puts baby in the corner"... absolute tosh... get tickets for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, at least the storyline is believable....

anyway get tickets through ticketmaster, and book the hotel seperately

are very good and if you go through the booking form options for a 'taylor-made' break, they will send an email with the full deal price.
Ask for"Just a quote..":)

Try looking around for restauarants on www.toptable.co.uk where you will find exclusive special offers for any restaurant for upto 50% off meals from the full menu and you'll also receive some points for free meals as well.

Check it out once you've decided where abouts you're going to visit and you'll be able to find restaurants with 360 interior views, full menu, prices and other customers personal exerience.

Hope that helps.

Chitty finished over a year ago and is now on a national tour. Mary Poppins is really good, one of the best shows I have been to see. Sound of Music is also really good. I saw Phantom of the Opera a couple of years ago, wasn't sure what to expect or if I would enjoy it but really enjoyed it. Les Miserables gets varied reactions, I know people that loved it and some that hated it! It is seemingly quite sad and some described it as depressing! Can't be that bad as it has been on for about 20 years! Wicked is meant to be really good and has won some awards recently. Blood Brothers is great! I could go on for ages......................

Until recently I worked for one of Holiday Extras competitors but they are a good company. I am starting a new job still in travel in 2 weeks and will once again be one of their competitors!

Holiday Extras do offer some good priced packages which will also include dinner. They feature some pretty good hotels but there are also a few that aren't so good. The deal with Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Radisson and Jurys Inn you would be safe enough with any of these.

When are you looking to go?

Hopefully within the next month or two, and on a Friday night.
#14
Friday night tickets for the top shows are a bit easier to get than Saturdays
#15
Thanks. Spoke to a couple of thespians who said Wicked and We will rock you are worth a look.
#16
Never fancied We Will Rock You as really don't like Queen's music but it is meant to be really good.

Wicked has had excellent write ups and has won a couple of awards recently, hopefully will get to see Wicked in the next couple of months

Hi there,

We are going down over Easter weekend to stay at the Hoxton Hotel (the link was on here not long back and got three nights for under £90) so keep an eye out for that again. I have been reliably informed that if you go to Leicester Square you can get top tickets at a fraction of the price from those little stands there that sell them for that night. My friend seen wicked a couple of weeks back and loved it. Hope this is useful.

For anyone who's interested, I found a few really good deals. Think we're going to see We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre, eating at Creation, and staying at Crowne Plaza Hotel (5*!!!) for £267, including return train fare. Can't argue with that.

If you use the ticket booths in Leicester Square it really is luck of the draw. You may be lucky and get great seats for a fantastic top show or you may find all they have are restricted view seats for the less popular shows. First time I went to Leicester Square got great seats to see Mary Poppins second time all that was available was rubbish seats for shows that weren't that great. Sometimes you can be lucky!

Pretty good deal carperkm, who did you book with? (just being nosey!)

Show and stay.
