National media museum but specifically book (for free) wonderlab as lots of hand on activities - aimed for little older than your 3 year old to get the science side but lots of hand on bits - if a nice day then centenary square is just over the road with water fountains so make sure you take change of clothes (or have you little one already in a swimming costume) - lots of things going on around square over the next few weekends.

Also as above ponderosa would get my vote too.

Thankyou very much. Very helpful. :D:D .

Broadway shopping centre has a cute train that is very popular with toddlers and kids. Not far from centenary square/media museum.

Shibden hall has a nice miniature railway too. And a playpark and a boating lake. It's between Bradford and Halifax. Lister park is nice too. Harewood house is quite pricey but they have a petting farm bit and penguins and I believe they are having Alice in wonderland events over the summer holidays. If you are near Leeds, roundhay park is great with tropical world being a hit with youngsters

Leeds armoury is good as Well and it's free entry

a fairly useful link for what in different regions - Bradford in this case:
https://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/things-to-do/yorkshire/west-yorkshire/bradford

You can see the events over the next few weeks in centenary square in this link - this weekend being the science special, Saturday on weekend after the big city play day and so on:
http://www.visitbradford.com/events/thedms.aspx?dms=3&venue=2198372&easi=true&festival=4587&feature=1127

P.S. would vote against Leeds armoury as can not imagine a 3 year old being massively entertained albeit great for older kids and especially those into war and armour.
