Go to the cheesecake factory for desert & shake shack for a great burger. Both are expensive but worth the price & both are in dubai mall or the mall of emirates. I wouldn't recommend fast food outlets as it's the norm to visit them but both the aforementioned outlets are not in the UK (or cheesecake factory could be in london only)

visit the souks (markets, bazaar). Gold souk especially just to browse. Don't be enticed by the fake watch sellers who approach you or you'll end up in an enclave that looks like tony montana's secret hideaway lol.

dubai mall aquarium is great so is ski dubai. jumeirah beach is a great place to stroll & like someone said wild wadi waterpark is there too.

Go to museum in bur dubai for authentic history of the emirates. Al rigga road (al rigga tram stop) is where you'll find all the food places in deira area of dubai. middle Eastern & fast food outlets. There's a nice fruit juice place can't recall the name it has a deep pink sign. Al ghurair shopping centre is on bottom of that road close to union tram stop too. Dubai city centre mall is also nearby still within deira.

enjoy. further questions pls ask

boat cruises, jet skiing, desert safaris, I even went on a loveboat with my mates hahaha. all can be booked via the hotel or if you do a search online for packages. make a note of the numbers phone around & book when you get there in person as I wouldn't be surprised some extra charge was added on online bookings when you get there. at least you haven't paid so you can refuse instead of paying so you don't lose out.

I think what people have said the above mostly covers it. Also, do not even think to hire a car over there. The place is overrun with numpty drivers that renders the place completely undrivable. Attempted to hire a few Italian exotics for a lads trip around their driving roads and the owners even refused for fear that the odds of getting involved in an accident were hilariously high. Even been in several shunts when taking taxis. Just find a large enough resort and stay there. Try not to walk around outdoors too much too.
