I was in he process of setting up my new MotoG from a windows phone, and was having problems syncing my contacts through gmail, but that's another question.

I was putting my micro sim back and forth between the two phones and eventually left it in my old phone because I still hadn't managed to get my contacts over. (I did do this quite a few times)
This morning I noticed I had no service from Talktalk.

Tried it in my new phone, but the same there.

Phoned TT and tried to reactivate my sim, but still nothing.

Any clues...??

Try another sim

Doesnt matter if you have no service, just transfer your number to a new sim using the Puk num, and transfer your sim contacts to your phone and your done.

Hmm... There are many apps available on the playstore/marketplace equivalent to transfer contacts to another platform via your email address. I did this when changing from ios to android. You tried this or is the phone really old?

Sorry just realised you have a windows phone, I used an app that was available on both ios and android. Its called MC Backup, It may be available on the Windows marketplace?

yeah it takes a whole week to get a sim to you. I think they start to manufacture it when you place the order!

I personally have not had a problem with talktalk customer support
but for the price we get our contract for we cant complain. My contract for 12 month was £45 then after cashback of £31.50 it works out at £1.12 per month

Problem solved, and my apologies, it seems I'm to blame..
When I got my new moto g, I ordered a new micro sim for it.
Now that has been dispatched TT have for some reason turned off my present sim- why, I don't quite know why, but hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

Saying that, I too don't have a problem with anything about TT- for the money I pay, I really can't fault them, so quite willing to forgive them on this occasion.

Thanks to all for the replies
