watch ebay, netmums, local paper etc. I just picked up a nearly new one off netmums for £70 with curtains, lightshade etc. Thats my wee boys xmas sorted!

there was one on here last week or so £100 i think in fs/ft

We are going to look at selling our son's Thomas bed but we have yet to find a replacement.
A word of warning. If you do buy a second hand one, check the condition of the mattress support. These may have been changed recently but were made of stapled slats that were made of plywood and what looked like compressed paper! They are not very sturdy and it is likely that it will sag. I had to make a new 'sturdy' wooden support for our boys bed.

Thanks for that, we haven't used ours yet but my husband did comment that bit looked a bit useless. Good job he's capable of making a new bit

It's worth doing. It got to the point that it had to be supported in the middle so it didn't sag! Apart from that they are great bed's though.

hi do you have a b&m store near you as they have Thomas the tank enguine beds not sure if its the same but they are £49.99
