Thorpe Park return travel from East London

I'm planning a trip to Thorpe Park (for around 8-10 of us) from the East London area, at around the end of June. What would be the best way to travel there and back (without a car, obviously), taking travel time and cost into consideration?

Help me out please!

Would minibus hire be an option?
Well i usually take the central line to Waterloo, and from there take the south west trains to staines railway station, if your going after 9.30, it's obviously a lot cheaper, but if your going before then, then i'd advise you buy a single (or return from waterloo) and then at waterloo buy a return to staines, theres this help desk place where they are a lot cheaper

the railway station have a bus service running to take you directly to the theme park, only hitch there is you have to wait for the bus to get full, but if your going at peak time, its not that long i think it costs around £4 return or you can take a taxi, which is obviously a lot faster and thats £2.50 one way

All in all the journey + tickets to theme park (which are usually 2 for 1) end up costing around £20-£25 max

Hope that helps
Thanks Kopi, that sounds good. How long does the journey take in total, approximately?
im planing to go as well in the summer. i went there last week and saw a coach called thorpe park express were do u catch that from?
Well it usually takes us around one and a half hours from home..... I'm not to sure if the bus is called thorpe park express, but i know it collects you just outside Staines railway station, and drops you off directly to thorpe park, and picks you up from there and drops you back off there aswell, on the return journey i think it stops once or twice
