If you have paperwork confirming the data plan, then they have broken contract and should let you leave without penalty.

What will probably happen is they will send in a debt collector, show him/her the paperwork and usually they will then go away.

If threatened with court, dont back down. I used to work in debt management and I always told people not to back down if they had the evidence, and I have done it myself, sometimes they will even wait until going into court before throwing the case, but I have won EVERY time.

If you've got a screenshot and it's proof enough then sending that to them is legal proof - they have to abide the original offer - it's the same if you have done it over the phone, as they all record calls and if you can tell when you called them they can check and if you are offered something or told something over the phone (within reason) as a sales pitch they have to legally give you the deal you offered. Alternatively, they may be willing to cancel the 12 month contract since if they are not fulfilling the offer, the 12 month contract you are signed to is null and void.

Does this not mess with your credit until it's thrown out? As until then won't they be reporting back that you have failed to pay? And even then would you have to apply to have them removed from your credit file?

live chat managers probably are rubbish the world over. ask for complaints procedure. send all evidence and letters addressed to their CEO and market it as an official complaint. ask for referral rights straight off as you'll be able to go to I think of com
