Hi, a rare response from me in the Ask section.

But what are you getting now mate?
#2
They do offer lower than their current deals but nothing matching MVNO's. I was switching from 3 to iD, they offered me about a quarter of the iD deal and then just said "Sorry, that's a really good deal, we can't match that" and sent me on my way.

A rare reply in the ask section, just after a sim mate, happy with my 7 plus so there's no point paying extra for some phone I don't want

I mean I know what plan I want, I just wanted to see if there was a good chance they'd lower the cost of it, by no means am I exactly a long standing customer ( 5 years I think)

Well there's a few options with 3.

I'm currently on unlimited data, unlimited minutes and texts and 30GB hotspot for £19. We also have a 30GB data (with hotspot) plus unlimited minutes and texts for £16 and two of the standard 4GB data for £9 sims.

Personally, I think the £19 package is seriously great bang for your buck.

Thanks mate! I would probably say the £16 a month one with 30gb of data would do me, I never exceed 30gb so I think going with unlimited again would be a wasted few quid a month :p but I think I may give them a ring tomorrow of something, thanks again bud :)

No worries bud. We spend a lot of time at the 'holiday home' which is why I use the £19 plan, hooking up to the Macbook and Xbox One. But our Doris is more than catered for with the 30GB plan.

I have been a 3 customer for years and always had good experience when "renewing" the contract. However this time round I got told that the best deals are available to everyone, when I quizzed them a bit more pushing for even £1 pm off, I was told the loyalty bonus was given to everyone hence the low prices.
I will cancel my contract with them and take out a new one going through topcashback for the 45 quid cashback on the sim only plan. Unless the retentions team can do better when I actually come to cancel

used to be great, this time absolutely awful, been on phone to them for over an hour and they won't even match the new customer offer from topcashback because it's from third party, the best they would offer me was 30gb with 600 mins for £29 month, are they having a laugh, the contract just finishing is unlimited everything with iPhone 6 for £39 month

I managed to get
Unlimited data (tethering and feel at home included) not bothered about tethering never going to use it.
Unlimited texs
600 mins
2000 3 to 3 mins on a 30 day rolling contract £9 a month

£9/m sounds promising; how much tethered data allowance is included? Thanks.

I have unlimited minz, unlimited text and unlimited data with 12gb of personal hotspot for £20 a month

i have 200min unlimiuted text, unlimited 3 2 3 minutes unlimited data and 30gb hotspot for 20 a month

that was after being with them for 5 years prior, they would not budge despite giving the same deal to new customers for 18 quid

to be honest 3 doesnt really budge much my miss had the same problem so she left all together

Let me know how that goes. I rang a week back after seeing the deal here and ending up getting PAC from them. The call center tried to butter me up for various deals which I politely refused and asked for PAC. They generated the PAC and sent as text.

I have been with 3 for probably around 11 years now. A year ago I was after the Galaxy S7 Edge, and the VERY best deal they could offer me for upgrading, even as a longstanding customer, was exactly the same as the deals they were offering their new customers (which happened to be £47/month).

I told them I wanted to leave as was able to get a better deal elsewhere, and when they knew I was serious they put me in touch with the retentions team who knocked £7/month off with very little effort on my part.

Definitely worth trying, but try and find a cheaper deal elsewhere to try and use as a foundation for your argument. They'll argue that they won't price match, but at least it gives them a ballpark figure to try and aim for when putting you through to their retentions team.

Well I just got off the phone after being offered the standard new customer price of £19 a month (30gb data, 600 mins AYCE texts on the advanced plan) and when I got connected to cancelations I was offered 30gb data, AYCE mins/texts on the essential plan for £15 a month

Thats great work. May be I didn't use the right words to their team :-)

Been with them for a decade, have two contracts and every time its renewal time I spend hours banging my head on the same brick wall where they offer a deal, you go in their site and there it is, so you say that's a standard not a special offer, they say......

Its so dull that this time I couldn't even be bothered so just left it as is.

TERRIBLE experience every time, sadly their unlimited data is the ONLY reason to stay.

I'm only with them for the large data allowance at a reasonable price, but when I got through to cancellations she was like "before I put this through, what if I was to offer you this at £15 a month?" and I was told that it's always £15 a month, but only time shall tell :D
