Pricematch EmpireDirect with John Lewis for £779?

Probably be able to get it cheaper elsewhere, but that 5 years guarantee option at JL always tilts me to them.

ADD: Currys have it for £763.99

yep its FULLY HD 1080p and native resolution 1920 x 1080!

Its worth while checking if JL will price match and see if you can keep the 5 year
guarantee.

And yes it does support 1080p but....
the X3030's do suffer from nasty judder when trying 1080/24p (although it says it supports 24p :? )

See AVForums Thread for full description of the problem

EDIT: Sorry took a while to find the link and missed Studapoo's message:

Careful mate for the reason above... last thing you want is 1080p TV which is unbareable to watch 25% of the time.

If you read the thread I linked earlier the problem isn't so apparent on the 42"model - Aye it looks a good TV especially for the price, althought I'd hate anyone to buy a LCD TV then realise its got a particular problem :(

BTW. Please tell us if JL will honour the deal - thinking about doing myself with a diff TV

is this better than the samsung m87??

about the same m87 has slighlty higher contract ratio for £300 MORE!!!! (too expensive for that, nearly another HALF the price) The main things the Resolution 1920 X 1080 = more lines per screen , giving better picture (not many 37'' or even 42'' have 1920 X 1080, only the HIGH end models take a look for yourself.....

http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/Referrer.asp?SKUNumber=105286&ReferrerCode=2

TOSHIBA 37X3030DB 37''

Dynamic 3500:1 Contrast ratio
1920 x 1080 Screen Resolution
6ms Response Time
550 nit Brightness

m87 37''

1920 X 1080 Pixels Resolution / 550 nit Brightness / 8000:1 Contrast Ratio / 8ms Response Time
