Does anyone know where to get a good cheap toy box from, something colourful and attractive to a child preferably :)

i bought the big tubs with handles from Tesco-they are like v thick plastic with handles. If a child falls on them they 'give' so they wont get hurt. Handles are great if you want to move them. Come in bright colours and were about £3. Quite large too. I have seen them other places cant thnk where...

if you want really cheap..when i had my first son i used a strong cardboard box and wallpapered it in his bedroom paper....lasted ages-cost nothing.
Hiya we bought cheap one in ikea and then covered the panels with girly wallpaper samples from laura ashley. For our son we used some Thomas wallpaper samples lol, so the decorating was free!

Yeah, go with the IKEA one as also suggested by venus_1980 above. I bought one a few years ago, they have them in the Kids department. I painted the panels with my art paints (acrylic, often on deals in WH Smith) with a day and night theme. Love it. Only cheap (£9 or £11, I think) but does the job, easy to assemble and you get to pick the design!

On the IKEA site they have "APA" for £8.99 (buy in store):

Lots of different ideas in the KIDS section like colourful baskets, bed storage boxes, and the best, a 'treasure chest':
