I am going to London for an exhibition im involved in between the 14th and 19th and need train tickets between those dates from Hull to London, preferably in the morning. I have a young persons rail card also. I need to be there in the morning before 12 noon which is a problem as all singles go right up in price the earlier you get them :( I think the cheapest I have found (to get there before 12 on the 14th) is about £21 and a return single on the 19th is around £17 - £21 also. I have never travelled to London by my own means before so any help with getting cheap tickets (if possible) would be of great help. thanks

National express is often quite cheap or I think its called Mega Bus. If not bothered by how you get there its an option.

Alot of thanks for that, i've booked 2 tickets at a cost of £2.50 which is alot less than the £40 it would have cost. I dont get how it can be so cheap though, can anyone enlighten me? I've been reading through all the details and info to check that I am actualyl going to london rather than round the corner from the bus station

If you have booked the megabus then expect the worse and it can only be better. Great for getting from A to B on a budget, however do not expect any luxuries.

For £2.50 I figure I wont be getting my toes manicured onboard unless some junked up hooker wants to do it, but for £2.50 its worth it (if the bus crashes in a fiery inferno please continue to find better deals)
