Transfer apps/data to new android phone

Can someone recommend the best way to transfer apps (Whatsapp account etc) to a new android phone? Specifically a Nexus 4 to a S5?

you just have to re download everything and for files i suggest doing on a computer as its alot quicker.

If you can remember your Google account and password, simply use the same account and password then open playstore, and my apps. They will be there for downloading.

thats the wrong way to do it as google doesnt store most app settings, launcher settings etc etc

helium app backs up apps AND settings data to sd card or gdrive. Then restore on to new phone

in which android folder is the app data kept for each of the apps?
