Hi all

Can u please help me?

OH got some tickets for a audience show in London for 19th August, whats the cheapest way to get there without a car. We need to be at the studios for 9am, but can stay all day after. 2 adults and a 7yrs child from Birmingham.

Thanx in advance

At the moment there's travel with Virgin from New Street at 0630 arriving Euston at 0755. Return from Euston at 1443 getting to New Street at 1608. Total cost for the two advance singles for all of you is £67.00 or £40.75 with a Family & Friends railcard so it might be worth getting one.

It's very surprising to find an advance fare available on that morning service so it may not be around for too long.

After the 1443 from Euston there's a period of peak services with no inexpensive fares at all. From just after 1800 they become available again and get cheaper the later you travel but it's 2043 from Euston until there's a cheaper fare than on the 1443 and that would perhaps be too long a day out.

It is possible to make the return journey for less but it would involve travelling by London Midland which takes up to an hour longer and would save about £10 overall.

Just asking - are you guaranteed to get into the audience show?. I have had tickets for various audiences but have been put off because of no guarantee to get in - you just had to queue for hours beforehand and had to take your chance because I understand trhey always overbook.

You can try:

http://www.megatrain.com/uk/index.php

it looks like you can catch a bus at 4:10am to arrive at 7:30... £33 for three people assuming no concessions for the 7 y.o. Return at 9:30pm, 3 tix for £9.
