Hi,

I'm really interested in travelling around Europe for a few weeks or a month or so, only got experience of a few weekend away last year in Europe so could need some help.

Is there any sites for travelling around like package deals or anything for travelling around, also what's the cheapest and best way? Also anything else I should know?

Thanks for your time :-)

If you're under 25 (I think) consider the rail passes :)

Interrail link

I used it a couple of times and it works out drastically cheaper (take care re night trains etc and some trains it doesn't let you on). It's also an amazing way to see Europe.

My first trip (iirc) was Berlin -> Prague -> Munich -> Salzburg -> Amsterdam

Enjoy your holiday.

WikiTravel gives really good tips on cities you're thinking of visiting. Cheapest ways to get in, how to get from the airport to the center, getting to points of interests, what to eat/drink, staying safe etc.

I've found traveling to be a time vs money thing. If you have lots of time, you can do it cheaply. If you don't have much time, you need to spend a bit more.

I've traveled using British/European coaches (megabus, eurolines etc) and stayed in hostels for very good prices. You can get private rooms in a hostel for much cheaper than a hotel room or stay in a dorm if you're on a serious budget. Also when you get there, check out your travel options. In Germany, you can pick between tram, bus and train to get around, I found the tram to be the cheapest of them all. Also ask the person in the hostel/hotel for cheap local places to eat. I saved a ton doing this.

If you're after a package, http://www.holidaypirates.com/ is a good site. Its a blog though, not a booking agent. This is especially good if there's 2-4 of you going.

I've done it several times driving and campsites it's very cheap. We just drive and check campsites on our phones wherever we are.

Is there no sites that give you a package plan for a trip.. e.g. fly from London to berlin spend 2 nights at this hotel for £X and then fly or train to Amsterdam and stay at... and so on and gives total price and places to book it?

youth hostel association is a good cheap way for places to stay.. if you want to do hotels and travel and get in touch with trailfinders travel agents.. look them up online.. voted best travel agent by which magazine and specialise in specialist holidays...
places ive been to and liked are.. Paris, Rome, Prague, Lisbon, Salzburg, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Lake Garda, best of them for me was Prague. great history, architecture and not to expensive to eat.. good look and enjoy your trip

As per previous response if you want it all planned and costs covered the try Trailfinders. Although I have to say, it may reduce a bit of the experience. It will remove the chance of staying longer if you really like somewhere.
