I have a bush freesat hd bfsat03hd but where it will go is slightly too short for the plug socket. but I can't tell if it's a 2.1mm or 2.5mm socket.
any ideas on how to tell? I tried measuring but only had a tape measure and it could have been either size..
would I be better buying a longer plug instead of an extension? though I'm a tight git and usually but cheap so was thinking the genuine plug would be better quality.

Pop into maplins, look at the connectors, ask a member of staff if you can carefully open a packet to try it for size. Or ask Bush
