I have a number of John Lewis gift vouchers burning a hole ni my pocket, and the need to get a decent TV. Looking on-line, the Viera TH42PX7B is £799 (less Quidco, and less £20 Telegraph readers offer). Is this worth the money, or should I wait for a better deal? I can't fit in a larger TV, by the way.

According to the website they accept vouchers....

You can use their vouchers online, no problem. Now, the TV?

But unless your transaction is one of the few that go through you will not get quidco when using a discount voucher such as the telegraph offer - the quidco will be declined

can someone show me where you can pay with gift vouchers online please ??

There's a box to put voucher code in (like the telegraph one), you can put the gift voucher code in there IIRC, you have to scratch a bit off the front of the voucher, which voids it for shop use. Now, anyone got a comment about this Panasonic TV, or should I wait?

Agree with graybags - bought a Samsung wine chiller fridge through quidco + £10 off £100 and use of vouchers earlier on in year; as bags says, do the scratching and it is straightfwd.

The 42PX7B in my mind as well as the 42PX70B are overpriced and for me a let down on the previous 42PX60 models.

Only 1 HDMI (2 on PX70), no PC input on PX7B (got one on PX70B), only 2 scarts, no headphone jack, no PIP.

On a plus not the much publicised Purple Snake effect should be fixed.

I really liked the silver CAB stand that they did for the PX60 but don't like the "square, straight lined" stand for the PX70 model.

I saved some cash and went for the Samsung 50Q97 which I had a small problem with so I then got JL to change it for the Full HD 50P96 model (paid difference & Price Matched).

JL Customer Service for me is the best I've experienced, just got a 42Q97 for my nephew at £799, now got another nephew wanting the same deal.

OK, I've found the PX70 version online for £699 (no stand or wall brackets), how would I go about getting this price matched at John Lewis? Or will they only match shop prices?

They don't price match on internet purchases, you have to order over the phone or in store.
