Hi
I bought a Sony 40" LCD some 3 months ago its a great TV, however for sports you need a Plasma the refresh rate is far higher. For example when I watch the soccer you can see the picture is like a mosaic and the color of the grass is like a snooker table.
I am just in the process of ordering a Pioneer 42" Plasma from John Lewis they include a 5yr warranty with all TV's.
Hope this helps.
Keith.

you have a nice budget there to get ur a superb Tv, dont go for LCD.

Get a plasma either Panasonic (dont know model ) or Pinoneer Kumo (dont know speifc model)

They are the best TV out IMO, both plasmas,

I have one and its awesome-o If i can find some more info i will post later

px or pz model?

The pz is the 1080p version, it's likely to be more future proof.
