I've been using my old sky dish and box to pick up free channels for over a year now but have had picture problems and now have no picture.

I've been thinking of going to sky for tv and broadband but i'm not sure i'd be better off doing that.
I currently pay 18 quid for broadband from eclipse and nothing for tv
I gather that if i take broadband and tv from sky i'm 26 quid so i'm 8 quid down a month.

The other option was to put a digital ariel up(my area is real bad for signals) and use a freeview box, again after initial install it's free and just keep my broadband with eclipse.

Prob is i have a 37inch lcd tv and have been warned that the picture is rank for freeview on bigger screens.

Can anybody out there help me decide or give me another solution?

What do you use for a land line, remember that if you have a SKY package you need a BT landline and need to pay the £11 line rental

The deal you mentioned for £26 includes some telephone calls (i think) but you need to include the £11 line rental (fine if you had it to pay already)

I'm With Virgin on a 3 for £30 package (Broadband (2MB i think) telephone (rental and weekend landline calls) and TV.

as for picture quality, if you are sitting the required distance the picture quality should be ok. and also if your TV unscales the picture then it depends on the quality of the TV. For the best pic you need HD (high definition) Freview won't give you HD for a bit but niether will sky (well a few channels if ya want to pay through the nose)

I'm trying BT vision, they are doing a deal at the mo £8.95 for 6 months for broadband, and £6 pm for 1 month for BT vision. Its a freeview receiver with the ability to download through the broadband.

They are due to install it around the end of this month, so I can't comment yet on how good it is.

They are giving away a free hard drive recording box with the deal
