I have 1150 motherboard with a G3258. What would be a worthwhile upgrade for this board or would I better off buying a new board and chip? Looking to play Titan fall 2 and Battlefield 1, if is can play them on my existing cpu all the better.

Try them and see, you can always upgrade if you find you're unhappy with the performance.

p.s. I guess you're looking for a CPU upgrade rather than a motherboard upgrade?

maybe upgrade to an i5 4440, 4460, theyre quad core so youll have no probs playing games that are more core dependant. :)

Check the makers website to see what cpu upgrades it can take, also look at the gfx card, bearing in mind the size of your case and psu limitations.

My 3 y/o daughter has an old G31 board that was originally fitted with an early Core 2 chip, it turns out the board can run a wide range of cpus, from last gen Pentium to quad core Xeon,so I have a quad core Xeon on order (and a water cooler!!!).

Look on cex website they have some i5s for decent prices even an i3 for £62. Was gonna update my bedroom rig but decided to just oc my g3258 instead
