[edited, some info removed]

I'd be ever so grateful if people could post the cheapest routes they could find if they are more adept at this than me. Megatrain doesn't go near enough to coventry... I shouldbe getting a young persons railcard but will probably take a month to come through. I don't mind a journey of up to 2 1/2 hours if by train and cheap. But ideally under the two hours, by train and cheap... any ideas?

Virgin trains is jsut about an hour... that would be so nice but... >_< By the way sorry if this isn't in deal requests... I'm sure I made it there >_<

Coach from Cov shouldnt be that long...

I used to travel to see my ex every weekend from Stoke to London and that was 3 1/2 - 4 hrs...from Cov should be at least 1 1/2 hrs less

Also £13.90 is the cheapest I can get that way... may not sound like much but as a student >_< I've thought of carpooling but obviously can't work that out till I get there.

Try routing london midland only - takes a bit longer but is quite a bit cheaper. at weekends you can get super saver tickets (super off peak) due to the west coast mainline being under repair. these cost about £11.20 return with a railcard and leave from marylebone takes around two hours though!

Hello, you can consider taking the train from Coventry to Leamington Spa, then a ticket from Leamington Spa to London as the ticket from Leamington to London is less than 10GBP off-peak using young persons and it should be around 3GBP return for Coventry to Leamington. Thats what I think.

I second that. I've used this route loads and don't have any complains. It's with Chiltern Railways and you'll arrive in Marylebone. The train is a bit slow as it does a lot of stops but for £10.95 return (walk-up fare!) with Railcard, you can't complain! :)

Oh, but you have to travel during off-peak hours but that shouldn't be a problem.

I've just booked some tickets from wales - london, i found the cheapest way to do this was to go to my local station to book them. On line i was quoted £58 but when i went to the station they quoted me £26. I'm not sure how much in advance you have to book but it's worth a go. good luck
