Urgently Wanted - Hotel in Manchester for tomorrow (29th March) near to 'Village'

I hope someone can help me, I'm on the verge of tears! Suppose to be going out for birthday but friend is ill. She's cancelled her original booking and got her money back, but they can't re-book it for tomorrow as there is no availability.

We are desperate for a hotel in Manchester near to the 'Village' but are struggling to find anywhere that is reasonably priced. Can anyone recommend anything, or have they booked something now don;t want to go.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

When you say the "village" do you mean the canal street, gay village area?

if so, & you're looking for cheap n chearful there's a few travelodge's not too far away. How far are you prepared to walk? I live in Mcr, so will try to help point you in the right direction if I can.

Thanks for that, yes I do mean the gay village so any pubs that are B&Bs in the village are fine too. I've tried the International, Rembrandt and Union. We have normally stayed in the Brittannia on Portland St, but trying to find anywhere that close is impossible.

So I guess a walk would be OK given that desperation is looming!
What price were you thinking?

I don't know Machester at all so can't advise of where to try but have a look at Kayak,I've just had a quick look under Manchester and there are still rooms available for tomorrow night. If you select details of the hotel it may say what is nearby. There is also the option to search on Kayak to compare prices within Expedia and Hotels.
Also try Premier Travel Inn and as person said above Travelodge, also have a look at hotels at

Hope you get sorted in time.

also see here maybe call them and see if any rooms as these appear to be in same area you are visiting.
struggling to find anything on the good side of £150. Do you have a budget?
Walkabout on Quay is showing availabilty tomorrow for £65. I know that place aqs a night club so you can party up to bed!

Bit of a walk but seems much less than the others !
Britannia Hotel is much nearer and showing £63 on ebookers.com
