Just been inform that my son needs a pen drive for school next year - he would be a bit "forgetful" at times so the cheaper the better! Anyone any thoughts...

Make sure you secure the drive. Wouldn't want his coursework being found and stolen by another student if he loses it!

if size is important, either way, you may or may not like these:

I have 2, and they are awesome, due to the small size....

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-DataTraveler-Mini-Fun-Hi-Speed/dp/B000HWPUO2
    £3.84 for a 1gig, + postage.

    or

    £7.99 for 2 gig + postage
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-2048MB-DataTraveler-Flash/dp/B000MTOSRU/ref=sr_1_3/202-6155896-1738222?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1187284201&sr=1-3

The size is roughly from the end of your thumb, to your knuckle. Tiny!
