This is a satellite feed which you need a satellite tuner to view. Won't work using a terrestrial tuner

wouldnt even work for free sat either when they install sky q they remove the adapter off the front and replace it with a wide spectrum band one, basically saying leave sky q and good luck using your dish again.

Oh I see. I have been corrected

your original comment was correct too, the satellite feed isnt really compatible with freeview, well.. it actually does in high signal areas the cable to the dish acts like an ariel and picks a few channels up lol.

I think when can get the basic sky package for £10 a month now, i would consider that and keep your on demand functions and the ability to record shows etc

you can just change your lnb. You CAN use your dish for freesat and would just need to invest in a freesat box or depending on what tv you own you may have a freesat feed in the back of that. You could also just leave the full band capture on your dish and get a 4k freesat box. Have a look at world of satelite for boxes.

Thanks for replies. Don't really want to go back with Sky they've messed me about too much.

Is lnb a different satellite dish?
So SkyQ dish wouldn't work with any Freesat?

Might just stick with freeview and put aerial in attic if can't use Sky dish

If you buy a lnb when putting it in make sure that the lnb is skewed at an angle, the bottom part that hangs to the right of centre ( looking at a clock 11.25ish ) .And put some waterproof tape around the f - connectors to include all the thread they screw onto. But dont do that until you get the best signal you can.If you buy a twin lnb ( one with 2 connections ) you could get a freesat recorder at a later date, but make sure you connect both the cables when swapping over or rain/moisture will quickly ruin one cable run
