V cheap hotel/B&B near Gatwick airport??

I'm looking to book the cheapest possible hotel/B&B/guest house room in Crawley/Gatwick for next month. All the ones I've seen online are £40 per night or more, but I'm hoping there are some really awful ones for less that people might know about. I'm really not bothered how bad the place is as it's literally only going to be somewhere to sleep for 2 nights, and I won't be leaving anything in the room as I'll be travelling light. I am hoping to squeeze 3 people into 1 room though to maximise on cheapness so need enough bed/floor space for that...

Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you looked on Travelodge site, they have super saver rooms, however you need to book somewhat in advance so if you going real soon into next mth you may not get one as not booked in advance enough.
You want 3 to a room at gatwick for less than £40 no way.
Thanks. I tried Travelodge but the cheapest thing they had was £57 a night. It's been dropped on us fairly late-notice that we have to find accommodation so no time to get the early bird deals sadly!

Oh and by 3 to a room I don't necessarily mean a family room. Just a room big enough to squeeze us all in, even if 1 person ends up sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag!!
Cheapest I've found for a legit triple room is £50 per night. Before I book though, does anyone know of any hotel discounts (other than all the booking websites claiming to offer discounts)? Or any really cheap places near Gatwick that they've stayed in perhaps?
