help!! Just broke my hoover!!!! So looking for a new one, any help appreciated.

House is mainly carpeted and I dont work well with upright vacuum cleaners.

Will consider any make, but not too cheap (as my last two cheapies have broken within a year!).

For cylinder cleaners Meile are very good

You could go for this click £82.36 delivered 1800w motor

Something a bit more powerful is this click £119.98 delivered

If you have pets look at this click £161 delivered.

Thanks esims84 and muckypup for those responses. Are the Meile worth the bag hassle, as have not had to use a bag for years!

Take a look at these customer reviews click I think it says it all really.

I used to work in electrical retailing a number of years back and meile were great then and I believe they are now.Dyson are also very good,in fact I have one,but if it was a cylinder I was after I would definitely be looking at meile.

The bag thing may be a hassle and if that is too much hassle for you then go for the dyson, but I would say that the Meile is probably better made. Also bear in mind that even bagless cleaners have to be kept clean(i did this with mine the other day, taking it apart to clear the clogged up dust etc.....at least with a bag,you just throw it away......no messy cleaning!

Dysons are very noisy - not sure if this matters to you. I would not buy another for this reason though.
