Your laptop graphics card needs to support dual monitors and if your TV has a VGA connector then a standard cable will do the job. eg http://www.vexsell.com/uk-wholesale-ipod-iphone-laptop-ps2-ps3-psp-accessories-usb-devices-ProductDetails-WHOLESALE-LOT-377.html

BTW, VGA cables do not carry sound signals.

Any VGA Female-Female cable will do. For sound, you'll need an audio lead from the headphone socket on the laptop to an audio in (should be next to the VGA socket) on the TV. VGA alone won't carry audio!

EDIT: yep, meant Male to Male!
