Vigin media V+ looking for my own?

I already own two Humax 9200T PVR`s but recently had virgin media installed for sports Horse racing mainly.
MY problem is I want to record races for future reference but I refuse to pay someone for the ability to record a TV show. The humax cannot be adapted and I have spent the best part of the day checking HDD recorders on line but all seem to have freeview. Did find one I thought suitable but it is only available in Europe and as they use a different electrical system. That`s out.
Even if I could connect my cable TV to the computer at a push I would welcome the information on how to do this/
Anyone got an idea of a machine I could use or a system that would work even on the computer remembering most of the TV cards use freeview and the software is not compatible with cable digital

You say the one in europe is out because of a different electrical system, do you say this because of our voltage?

I've just had a V+ box installed too and I'm fairly pleased with it so far.

Anyway, the V+ allows you to copy recordings from it's internal hard drive to an external source such as a VCR or a DVD Recorder.

Press the "V+" button on your remote and then chose "V+ Extras" from the menu. There you will see an option to copy recorded programs to your VCR or DVD Recorder. Note that you will have record the program on the V+ first before you can copy it to an external source.

If you want to keep to a purely digital option, I've seen DVD recorders going for £80 lately and I'm sure you can pick on up for even less than that if you shop around.

Hope that helps!
