A friend has just moved into a cabled area, and wants basic BB only.

Best I can see from Virgin is

£10 for 1st 6 months then £18 a month for 2MB

Quidco should be around £60 (I think).

Anything else I should be looking into???. Refer etc..

£18 a month for 2MB? That seems insanely expensive :/

Speed is not really the issue.
For that, I have a VOIP router so it will be free calls also.
No BT line needed saving £10.50 a month?

I'm sure Virgin are cheaper than that though?

And where did you find that price too? Because here it has different prices but says you have to take up Virgin Phone too which is an extra £11 a month.

On the main site, after clicking through quidco.

£10 for 6 months offer.. On the medium £18 package. Broadband only.

No phone or TV.

I've got virgin BB - it's meant to be £18 per month but I only pay £10. Every time the 6 month offer runs out, I ring them and say that I want to continue paying £10 a month and if the charge goes up to £18, I'll have to consider leaving them! As a result, I always pay £10 - I find the broadband very good:thumbsup:

You can get it for £4.50 if you take phone package.
If ya do get Virgin BB, don't use PCguard or the set up disc. Get separate security and go to Virgin site to set up.
