Virgin Medial phone line - quidco possible?

Hi,

I see from the quido website that there is £80 quidco for signing up to cable packages.
I was a previous customer but now with sky but i could do with another phone line. VM do a phone line for £11 which comes with M sized TV bundled.

Anyone know if i would be eligible for quidco £80 by subscribing online to this package?
I left virgin for sky 2 months ago and would be able to sign up in someone elses name if need be.

Thanks

So you want sky tv with bt line and virgin tv with vrgin line?

It has to be in the name registered with quidco

To be classed as a new customer you have to have left the service for 12 months.

As far as Im aware you have to have a phone line and BB to get the free TV.

I've already got sky tv and a bt line with ADSL broadband. I just want another phone line. If i got another BT line it would mean £125 installation so i thought i'd go for a virgin phone line as the installation cost is £30, you get a free tv package and also there may be quidco available. A virgin line is £11 per month but comes with a free basic tv package which would be useful for a spare room upstairs (in which we had a virgin box previously). There's no problem in getting virgin with the quidco registered name.

Does that mean that in order to get quidco the service can't have been active in the property within the last 12 months or that the account cannot be in the same person's name in which it was active within the last 12 months?

You only need the phone line to get free TV. No broadband subscription is required.

Well you can apply as they can only say no. Some people have signed up in there partners name and said they had split up so wanted the service back. Some people have been sucessful and some not. The problem may come though that as it was not all done online you may not get your quidco. Who knows!
As for the free TV you are spot on.

I would sign up in a different name and you will be classed as a new customer.

No need to phone VM then and can complete online meaning you'll get your Quidco

Thanks for that. I'll sign up and let you know how the quidco progresses.
