Virgin / Virgin Atlantic V Room Manchester Airport

I have just phoned Virgin to enquire about the cost and booking their V Room at Manchester airport as we are soon going to Orlando for the first time and I was told I could not book it because I booked with Virgin Atlantic and not Virgin? I thought they were the same company? Can anyone tell me if you can book any other VIP lounges at Manchester and if they are worth it? I am not a particularly good flyer and with this being the families first Orlando trip I wanted to make it a little bit special. Thank you :-)

We were told the same at Gatwick. We were flying on Virgin Atlantic to Cuba but because we didn't book through Virgin holidays we were not allowed to use the lounge. Come on Virgin sort this out!

I've used No1 Traveller before and I thought it was worth it. It made a lovely start to my last holiday and I'd definitely do it again. It's not cheap but I thought it was worth it and once you've paid for it in advance, you don't think about the cost when the time comes.

The lounges are very good. We use the Escape lounge in Terminal 2 Manchester Airport as they allow children (Virgin use same terminal). However if you don't have kids Swissport Lounge is slightly better as it offers hot food like Bacon butties too which I use if travelling on business or without the kids.

To book the V room if you have booked through Virgin Holidays it looks like you have to send them an email with your 7 digit Virgin Holidays Booking Reference link here : V Room. I would recommend using the lounge rather than waiting in the departures area especially with children.
Just noticed there is also a phone number to ring 0844 557 9813 if you'd rather book it over the phone.

Hi Thank you that was the number I phoned but I booked it via Virgin Atlantic not just Virgin? Virgin Atlantic customers cannot use the V Room I have just found out. Thank you anyway :-)

You may find a deal for airport lounges through holiday extras.
Have used vroom at Gatwick and loved it. Also have used the No 1 lounge and found it cramped, rude and unhelpful staff, poor food and sall portions and a waste of money- better value from McDonalds
