Vodafone Contract Expiring

My Vodafone contract is about to expire. I was reading the latest vodafone sim only deals and saw some people get the same deals when they renegotiate their contract.

I'm not fussed about keeping my current number, or going on another contract.

What have other people been able to get? Do yo have any pointers for negotiating? Thank you.

My last Vodafone plan:
Free N95
£30/mth for 300min, 500 text and unlimited internet

ring 191 and select the option of "thinking of leaving Vodafone". If you are not looking for a new handset, the agent can change your tarriff to match the sim only deal out on the market. E.g. 600 minutes and unlimited text for £20. Best of all, you can keep your number
I am with Three.

Yes i know people have trouble with signal.
But all phones have this prob.
Any way I haggled with them for 1 hour 30 mins to get this deal.
I get 500 cross network mins 100 texts.
2000 three to three mins for £10.00 a month also a new nokia 6500 slide included.

Not to bad i think
As the first replier said, ring them up on 191 and tell them that you're leaving. It works much better if you have a specific deal in mind for them to match or beat, so it helps to shop around a little first. If you're specific in what you want, I've found it helpful as you annoy the operator less. You can also quibble about delivery (they'll try to charge you £6 or so) and the last two times I've renewed my contract, they've taken it off without any fuss.

I managed to get a deal last month of a Nokia 5800 with 200 minutes, stop the clock, 300 texts for £17.50 a month, just so you know.
Agree with above just say you want to leave then negotiate. I quoted the o2 simplicity offer as comparison, ie. 800 minutes and 1600 texts and free internet. Got this deal at £17.50
