Deliver a lot of GTech vacuums. Had good recommendations from the people I've delivered to but on the other hand I've collected my fair share as returns as those who've returned it say the suction isn't good, battery is terrible, battery is faulty and some other things which I've forgotten about

seems a lot of money to pay, i would easily pay up to £200 for a decent one.

I am looking at getting this for my parents for Xmas. Mainly for them to use on the stairs. If you have existing compatible Makita products you don't need to buy the battery or the charger, this then takes it to about £40.

Dyson are probably the most powerful. Priced upwards of £250+ I ended up getting a vax U85 which comes with two batteries, good suction (can get around car ok) and 30 min run time which is enough. Was £99 too.

Dyson outlet on Ebay is a good place to look. I got a V6 animal for about £170. Don't even use my full size dyson any more!

battery runs for about 25-30 mins, but you get two to keep one on charge. The battery takes about 30 mins to charge.

Suction is not as good as our Dyson upright, but definately better than other cordless machines on the market. Dont mind the slight decrease when having no cord is such an advantage.

The middle section lifts away from the upright bit, making it a large handheld. Definately worth 99-150 quid if you can get it in that price range.

Try vax online clearance section, ours was a warehouse 2nd (cosmetic box damage) but brand new.

You are never going to get the power of a mains vacuum with a cordless. Personally I wouldn't waste your money. I have the gtec one currently and it's carp. Not much better than a black and decker dust buster from 30 years ago. My dad has the top of the range gtec upright and they would not be getting my money. Remember dust settles in your carpet. All the cordless ones will do is get what's on the surface. If you have laminate that it will be ok.

Yes that what I was afraid of, I was also looking at the BOSCH Athlet, both vacuums get mixed reviews.
