If its installments you need, it will probably have to be something like Littlewoods or a catalogue company... You will need to mod yourself though, the decent chips are about £50 however it does end up being cheaper to do it this way as the last time I seen a modded one they were about £250 modded using the cheapest chips you can get :) its best to buy the Wii open it to check the drive inside and then purchase the chip, even with the serial number you never really know which chip you need unless you open it :)

Littlewoods Direct Use codes for a percentage off...

Play was doing a good deal on them, however they dont do installments and they have gone back up now

You wont really be able to backup your own games though... To make your own backups you would need a certain model LG DVD reader... Only a few drives can read the original disks, downloading and writting can be done with any DVD writter, though

Cheers mate was only posting in jest really, although my PSP is enabled for homebrew I only use it for old emulated games. I tend to go with the side that games are pretty cheap now anyway - recently purchased Super Mario Galaxy off someone for £16!

Just wondered if there was any additional benefits like good homebrew apps, retro gaming etc... but dont think i would bother doing anything like that to my 360/wii

Retro gaming isn't too bad on the Wii, plus you don't need to stick a chip in there to do it. I've got a perfectly good SNES channel and Megadrive channel installed that reads and plays ROMS perfectly from SD full speed inc save states etc .Helps if you have a Classic Controller as a Gamecube pad doesn't feel right and the Wiimote is not very good with older games at all.
No N64 emu (thats working full speed) as yet though which is a shame.
@ Mobilephonez, backups can be done actually on the Wii itself. A coder who goes by the handle Waninkoko released a dumper a while back that dumps an the disk as an ISO to SD card or to your PC via WiFi, takes about 2hrs or so but it works. If dumping via WiFi you need to modify the Wiis IOS (possibly need to do this for dumping to SD too,not 100% on this as it's not something I want to do......)
