I'm looking to replace my GT that my ex kindly scrapped for me (after being scrapped herself), but its alright because to make up for this she left me with massive debts instead. Woo o/
Ok, to the point, I've managed to save up around £300 for a mountain bike. Now, please don't do the usual 'You must spend at least £500!' - I can't. :) £300 ish is all the disposable income I can scrape together until at least august and I need to pick back up on my cycling now ish before my limbs start to decompose.
I'm guessing, my best bet would be a hardtail, something like a specialized hardrock or similar? Now my next questions are along the lines of 'which model would be best' (for combination dirt paths/rocky paths - I'm not into massively harsh terrain but I'm no pansy either), and who will sell one to me the cheapest. :)
Any help greatly appreciated, as mentioned i have *around* £300, could probably stretch no higher than £350 but that would mean me having no food to eat this month.
The one I'm currently looking at, is a 07 Specialized Hardrock Sport Hydraulic Disc, for £299.
Thanks in advance!
