When in November are you looking to go? How many people and for how long?

2 adults - 1 child and 1 infant - 14 nights.... and as cheap as possible (anytime in november) - at min I can find a package holiday at about £1600 for us all - just wondered if anyone can beat it.... or is it worth waiting for a cancelation.... Been quite a few times before - however since I now have kids - the budget is a bit more restricted.....

Its a shame virgins holiday for £599 per person to disney pop century is in june.... doesnt give me enough time to save up.

Shame about the Virgin offer being in June, it is a really good price for it.

www.travelcitydirect.co.uk are normally pretty good, I know a lot of people here have used them in the past.

Had a quick look at Virgin Holidays site, depending on dates and which hotel you choose they had packages from around £1,300 for all of you.

YOu could also look at doing flights and accommodation separately, www.alpharooms.co.uk currently have some good prices for accommodation. Comfort Inn Universal (3 star) International Drive - £247.04 - in continental breakfast that is the total for all of you.

International Plaza Resort & Spa (used to be The Sheraton World Resort) on International Drive - £319.78 room only for all of you.

Virgin flights for all of you through www.opodo.co.uk would be £1,110 so doing flights and hotel separately would start from £1,357.04

Through Quidco you would get 1% on flights with Opodo and 7% on accommodation with Alpha Rooms

Alpha rooms are reliable and a good company. I work in the Travel Industry and know the company well and also a few people that work for them.

I've just tried both the hotels I mentioned for 2 adults and 1 child, I put the child in as 1yr old and price was the same as for 2 adults.

Can't remember exact dates but it was around about the 8th November I think. Price varies depends which dates you want to try and if there are any supplements on the flight price.

I would give your local travel agents a chance to quote on this as well. Online prices are not always the cheapest, despite what everyone thinks. High street agents are regularly able to offer more competitive prices.

hi got some more details if anyone can help me please i want ten days anywhere between friday 19th oct and sunday 4th nov (i know half term is in there so if i can avoid that would think it will be cheaper
its for 3 adults one 15 year old (prob adult) and a then 1 yr old
#15
Just had another quick look - the cheapest price I can see now is £1,566.20 for all of you, the flight supplements have gone up since the other day. That is staying at the Howard Johnson Maingate West, there are loads of other hotels available but that was the cheapest one. It was flying with Virgin from Manchester

None of them...They will try and sell you one of there in house products, I work for an independent travel agent so we will search eveyone and get the best price. If you want me to have a look for you let me know all details and I will.

Hope this helps....?

Independents can book with any operator, Going Places tend to try and sell their own inhouse product but any decent agent should check all operators and try to get the best price for your regardless of who the operator is. I used to be a Going Places manager a few years ago and always sold what was best for the customer. Co-op don't have their own in house operator.

Don't feel obliged to book with them, if you call or go in make it clear that you are not looking to book that day but you are looking for the best price and you are looking to book soon. They will call you back within a day or so to see if you have decided, they have to follow up their leads.

take a look at at the virgin brochure, then goto all the travel agents then get a quote, then play them against each other........then goto to virgin (call them) speak to the first advisor, they should then refer you to a second "price match advisor" and give them the quote you recieved, make sure you have all of the details from the quotes you got from the travel agents..e.g what star hotel/ villa your staying, direct or indirect flights, excursion, e.t.c, and tell them to price match! virgin will price match like for like or similar, accomodations and flights e.t.c they are quite reasonable so you can bargain with them,

thats what i did! and saved myself £350!

Going down this route you have to tell them reasonable prices, they will on price match as long as they are not losing money on the booking!

Had a look and the best I have come across so far is doing accommodation with Alpha Rooms and flights with Opodo.

The Comfort Inn, Universal comes in at £181.07 for bed & continental breakfast from 20 October until 30 October. The rooms are large enough for everyone to be in but if you wanted 2 rooms it would still be £181.07 per room.

Flights with www.opodo.co.uk

20 October - London Gatwick 1030 - Douglas in Charlotte 1420
Douglas, Charlotte 1610 - Orlando International 1743

30 October - Orlando International 1710 - Douglas Charlotte 1841
Douglas Charlotte 1935 - London Gatwick 0720

Flights are with US Airways total cost for everyone would be £1,892.50

If you go through Quidco you would get 1% for the flights and 7% for the hotel with Alpha Rooms.

Travel City Direct is normally a pretty good option as well.

just worth noting aswell if you dont wish to drive try staying on idrive as it is central but still make sure the hotel as free transport to disney and universal if going to those places plus the iride is great to hop on and off
