I built a PC for a friend, but it turned out he'd somehow knocked the heat sink off and continued running it for days/weeks like that.
Now it won't even post and I'm just going by a gut feeling that it's the mobo that's gone (no cpu damage, etc). The worst possible scenario is it's the memory instead, but I could pick up a new stick for £15-20 I'm sure.
I just want to find a replacement motherboard for as cheap as possible...one that'll be compatible with the following:
Intel Pentium 4 631 3.0GHz 775 800MHz FSB 2MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Kingston 1GB DDR2 667MHz / PC2-5300 MEMORY CL5 1.8V NON ECC UNBUFFERED
