Wanted Tomtom maps of Western Europe

I bought my husband a Tomtom One for Christmas. For his birthday, later this month, I would like to get him the maps of Western Europe to go with it. I think the easiest to use would be the maps on SD card, rather than trying to copy them from a CD or downloading them. I am not very competant at doing things like that. I'm afraid I might mess it up.
Anyway, I have looked on the Tomtom website and found that they do sell the maps on SD card, but I can't find the price. Please can anyone help me find the best deal.
Thanking you in advance cause I know you are all brilliant.

I would stick to buying from Tomtom, at least you know there are the latest maps and more importantly, genuine.

Thanks m623d that is what I want to do, but when I go to the Tomtom site I can only see a picture and discription, not a price or Add-to-basket or anything. Their website says that I can buy from them, but I can't figure out how.

I have found one at navcity.co.uk for £149
Has anyone heard of this company? Are there any cashback sites or discount codes I could use?

If you download the latest software (tomtom home) for your 'one' then run it, it gives you the option to buy extra maps from them.

Thanks m623d I have found it. I think I am going to have to buy the maps to download using tomtom home. I can't find any maps on SD card in stock anywhere. They are available to pre-order but I need it this week. I just hope that I can manage to do it after I pay my 119 euros. It says that the maps are 1.9GB so I suppose I need a 2GB SD card. Could someone be good enough to confirm this for me please. Or do I need more than 2GB? Also any suggestions for where I should buy the SD card from?

The maps are seperate for different countries in europe so you only need to load the ones you intend to visit onto the SD card, unless your going to all 18 countries you wont need to load them all at once.
If just visiting 2 or 3 then 1Gb card should cover you ok.

If your downloading them make sure you copy them to a dvdr before doing anything else as its a lot of cash sitting on the hard drive waiting for a crash!
If you need it this week you are going to have to buy the sd card local to you as it might not get here in time if you order on line.

Thanks for that Mike, but I'm not sure how to do it. The instructions on Tomtom Home show how to do it with a new SD card and the computer connected to the Tomtom One. I am on dial-up internet access. Do you think I am going to have problems downloading this to my computer?

Christmasshopper it will be xmas before you get it all d/loaded on dialup 1.9Gb is a lot. Well not quite xmas but a while and a half!
I would go to a friends home with dsl and get them to d/load it for you using a d/load manager so it resumes in case of power cut or pc failing etc.

Others may have better ideas?
