Play.com are £11.99 for 10

Don't think PC world price match against them anymore though, they used to be even cheaper

Do you need dual layer discs to back-up 360 games?

Aye

Play is 2.4x iirc.

Scan are usually quite good, esp. if you've got free delivery.

I went for the play ones bintip suggested,

are they allright to burn 360 games? i'm no expert.. just picked up http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=224083 this dvd burner to give it a try

would it work?

I heard other burners might work so try one you already have, btw did you flash your own xbox?

Shouldn't have any issues. 2.4x are what you need for 360 backups, in my experience they don't read particularly well when burned at 8x

Never used that drive tbh so can't offer too much advice on that. Pioneers are good drives

no i bought one pre-flashed

so will the 2.4 discs work fine? does it mean i have to burn them slower or does it mean they won't work for burning 360 games :S

Thanks bintip, rep left =)

Means you burn them slower, they don't read properly if not

ah, no kreon drive.

if i was to download them could i burn them that way?
#13
The problem (if you can call it that) is that the 2.4x discs can be made in India or Singapore with the former being reputed to be of poor quality.

i get my aone disc in a pack of 20 for £10 from fleabay but play.com is really good aswell
#18
I use Aone disks (burnt at x4 speed) as well, had no problems so far so long as you use CloneCD for burning.

try www.svp.co.uk for the dual layer burners about £17
pioneers are ok think the latest one is 117 for ide and 217 for sata
someone please correct me if i am wrong
also do verbatim dl too £25.99 for 25 or 10.99 for 10
either silver top or full face printable
avoid aone discs very cheap get errors on the 360 saying
THE DISC COULD NOT BE READ PLEASE CLEAN
halfway through a game
