As per title, after sourcing three XBOX 360 Premium packs for some mates. Cheap as possible obviously. The Virgin deal posted today looked tempting until I read that unless it's paid for by a Virgin credit card it will get cancelled.

Can't believe I missed both the Argos deal @ £249.99 and the Boots deal for around the same price but with an extra controller etc around the middle of December! :x

Mainly after just the Premium pack, or possibly Premium plus spare official wireless controller but don't want any buddled games with it.

Any working deals out there at present?

Thanks.

Cheekster.

the one in pc world

£280
it comes with call of duty 3 AND rainbow 6

im sure you could sell the 2 games for £40 for the pair VERY easily if in their wrappers.

they also do the same sort of deal with gears of war and rainbow 6 for the same price.

How About the great universal deal?

Console @ £309
20% discount on first order = £247.20
8% Quidco Cashback = £19.77 Cashback

Total Cost = £227.43

Plus I believe if you open a "credit account" with them you get extra cashback from them (I *think* its 10% cash or 12.5% in goods), which would bring the price down even further to £202.71 after Quidco cashback & cashback from great universal. Not bad when argos are selling the core console for £199.99

Nice one mate, what does the credit account mean tho? and would the extra 10% just be back into the credit account balance?

how much you talking for this?
#9
Blockbusters are still doing the premium console for £249.99, not sure how much longer for tho
#10
The credit account is when you pay monthly (interest free over 20 or 40 weeks). You then get "commission" on the purchases, you can either take 10% cashback or 12.5% credit to use against future purchases (please double check this though - not 100% sure.)

:D Sounds great!

I'm guessing it's the premium pack...

If I chose Lost Planet and Gears of War as the 2 games, I'd end up with 5 games but do how much do you reckon I would get if I traded in the extra controller - also is there a price limit on the games or is it simply ANY game...

price limit unfortunately, £44.99 iirc otherwise i'd be having a copy of Steel Battalion with my 360 (really, really want one just cant decide if its worth while waiting a month)
#13
well what game is more than that?
NOT GOW
NOT COD3
NOT SC: DA

I might go and get one at the weekend...

EDIT: The following deal is available online:

Premium Console, WWE 2007, PGR3, Live Arcade, Additional Controller & ANY 360 game = £309.99

In store you get an extra game for £15 - awesome!

Could you settle the balance of your account in one go instead of monthly?
#15
i cant see anything on their site about having to buy on credit for cash back, as far as i can tell its available to all account holders
#16
As I said im not 100% sure with the cashback/credit aacount.

weird, when i got my pack from there, it was ANY game for the 360, the most expensive games they had being £49.99, which is why i chose dead rising at the time.
on the web site it does not state £44.99 either.
#19
i forgot what the blockbuster deal is now, what does it include.i think its the one where you have to go in store for it.

is it something like £250 and you can get any 2 games with it.

there is a price limit, put £44.99 but cant remember exactly what it was
look in the small print on the in-store poster

is this deal online available online or can you get it from the shop and to confirm what price is it.

you get pgg3 and that wrestling one,do you think they would swap it for another game,or if they cant what other game do you think you could trade it in for.

whats pg3 like,is it any good,im not a big fan of driving games, prefer the army and fighter ones, like rainbow 6 and call of duty,

do you get the 20gb hdd with this, what accesories do you get i.e joypads, headset,
#22
1. Not available online at the moment

2. They'll give you trade in price for those 2 if you don't want them, probs something down the lines of £25 for WWE and £10 for PGR3

3. Supposed to be good, not played it myself though. If it helps, PGR2 was great!

4. You get: Console + 20GB Hard Drive + 2 Wireless Controllers + Removable Faceplate + Wired Headset + Component Cables + Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged + Project Gotham Racing 3 + WWE Smackdown VS Raw + Any 2 Other Games
#23
i thought the pg3 would be worth about the same as the wrestling ,is pg3 a new game or old one, would of thought theyd give you more than a tenner.
#24
do you think they would trade the pg3 and wrestling one for games like call of duty 3 and gow.

does the premium allow you to play old xbox games like halo 1 and 2.anyone know wheres theres a game staion in manchester around greater manchester
#25
Not many posts on this thread that actually point out any good existing Xbox 360 Premium bargains with the exception of the Gamestation deal. :-(

it was still on the last time i went in there (2 days ago)

it isnt for ANY games, it is for

gears of war
rainbow 6
call of duty 3

you pick 2 of the 3 above.

i saw the deal by the check out area, this was in the selly oak branch in birmingham.

it is the xbox360 premium package and the games, no extra stuff, merely what is in the premium pack and the games.

obviously the gamestation deal is better as you get 3 more games and an extra control pad ( wireless) for £55.

you say you wouldnt play PGR3?

trust me on this when i say it is a fantastic game, im no car racing fan but this game is awesome, it is a mixture between ridge racer and gran tourismo.

im guessing you would get about £15 trade in from gamestation for the wrestling game, maybe game will give a better trade in, the only problem is that gamestation prices on the internet are cheaper than the prices in store, normally by £5 to £10, so a game like lost planets maybe £40 for the normal version online, it will be £45 or £50 in store.

also check the stock is available by going onto the pcworld and currys websites, finding the deals ( which show as £299.99) putting in your post code and see if they have it. when you phone up, you are likely to get through to temp staff on a saturday, the regular staff wont answer the phone as they try and get sales for their comission.

I also got another "package" with PGR3, Xbox Live arcade and a wireless controller for another £20 (apparently special offer instore if you buy a console?!?!?!).
#34

You get this deal at Blockbuster instore for £249.99

The £324.99 deal at gamestation would ideal for me although my local ran out of PGR3/Smackdown so had an inferior deal of Xbox360 prem + any 2 games for £319.99 which is pretty rubbish imo.

The deal for £309 on the website comes to £319 when done on the website for some reason, just tried to order one so might call their hotline tomorrow.

go for the £325 deal and get a credit for the items they dont have in stock, they will either get one sent from a different shop or hold one for you when they come back in stock again. at least that way you get what you want.
