I've got an LG and never had any problems with it in 6 years, it is quieter than the ones i've had before it and it has a huge drum which is great for all the washing i have to do.

Pick a drum size to suit how much you wash, i would go for one that has a good energy rating too

Our washing machine repair man has been in the business (self employed) for many, many years.

When our last Hoover expired, we asked him to recommend, from his experience, the most reliable, reasonably priced machines.

He said without doubt Zanussi, or other machines from the Electrolux stable.

If you want to spend megabucks, he said go for Miele.

We bought a Zanussi six months ago and are very pleased.

Get a Bosch, but the base level one - the Classixx. These are pretty cheap, but you still get the Bosch reliability.

The dearer ones (Exxcel and Logixx) are possibly nicer looking and have extra buttons to press, but these are the ranges Bosch make most of their money on. Classixx provides the best value.

Its a fantastic washer had it about 6 months now. It £395 in Currys.
They also come with 2 year labour and 5 year parts guarantee. All for £219 delivered.

Websit checkout wasn't working when I bought mine so just phoned them up.
